Wineries
The south of South Tyrol comes up trumps with its many wineries and outstanding wines. If you wish, you can join a guided tour through the vineyards, or visit a winery followed by wine-tasting to give you a comprehensive overview of the winegrowing, grape varieties and cultivation areas of South Tyrol. Among the notable wineries in Kurtinig are the Castelfeder and Kuppelwieser estates. In Margreid are the wineries of Alois Lageder and Nals-Margreid-Entiklar, while in Kurtatsch are the Castle Turmhof winery and the Baron Widmann estate, all equally worth a visit. This is a pleasurable way to learn about Kurtinig on the South Tyrolean Wine Route.
